Introducing....The Allscripts Stimulus Program™

We are pleased to launch The Allscripts Stimulus Program. This announcement follows the Obama Administration's release on December 30th of its long-awaited criteria for determining which Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems will qualify physicians for between $44,000 and $64,000 in Medicare and Medicaid incentive payments under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The law requires physicians to demonstrate their "meaningful use" of an EHR before they can claim the stimulus incentives, which first become available in 2011.

Meaningful Use - What it Means to You

The Department of Health & Human Services released two Rules related to the definition of Meaningful Use on 12/30/09.  They produced robust, thoughtful documents that are going to do what they were intended to do - move the market along and help people feel confident that the program is proceeding as planned.  The HITECH incentives are on their way - only a matter of months now!
